What’s Good: The visual boost in the graphics is excellent for two reasons. First, the creators didn't go far with the 3D model to make it look overly sophisticated; as a result, it let them keep the show's beloved charm and innocence.

What’s Bad: Just like a passable episode of the series, you'll watch it and quickly forget about it.

Toilet Break: You won't be tempted because it's only 100 minutes!

Watch or Not?: If you're a fan of Dragon Ball, I'm sure you've already purchased your tickets, but if you're not, there's not much of a reason to suggest that you watch this.

We're back for Superhero, the 21st film and the second in the "Super" series after Broly, from the crazy imagination of Akira Toriyama's world, following 20 feature films and numerous animatic episodes. Why the name of a superhero? As Goku and Vegeta continue their training on Beerus' planet, the tale picks up where Dragon Ball Super: Broly left off, but Picollo now fights an Android superhero in Gamma 2.

With the aid of Dr. Hedo, the grandson of the villain Dr. Gero, Red Ribbon Army from Dragon Ball Z produced Gamma's Android army. In order to eliminate Goku and his family through a cunning scheme, RR's Commander Magenta and Staff Officer Carmine want Hedo to release the beast in Cell Max, the heir to Cell. With the aid of Gohan, the son of Goku, and Pan, a 3-year-old cutie, Picollo intends to halt this. The crucial parts of the plot are found in how the plan and combat play out.

Review and script analysis of the superhero film Dragon Ball Super

The original Akira Toriyama just can't quit picturing the absurd circumstances his beloved characters might find themselves in, and this is one of them. The decision to switch the movie's main focus from Goku to Gohan was undoubtedly a dangerous one, yet it was skillfully carried out while keeping the characteristics that fans loved.

Although there isn't an emotional connection, the absurd humour makes up for it. I purposely chose to see this in Hindi because I grew up watching the same programme in that language, and it was a welcome dose of nostalgia. Gohan, who is "work-focused," is heard saying things like "Jaan Jaaye Par Deadline Na Jaaye." &

The characters are ultimately given a 3D look by creators working with Toei Animation, and it looks fantastic.

Direction, Music:

Tetsuro Kodama's first entry into the Dragon Ball universe, and it appears that he wasn't entirely aware of the job, as evidenced by the direction and music. The movie's great points are far too few to really list, with the exception of the hallucinogenic conclusion and a few scenes of Gohan amplifying. I also thought the conclusion was completely heading in the direction of Avengers: Endgame, but happily it was stopped by the way it ended. He discreetly addressed the emotional bond between Gohan and Picollo, which I thought was still lacking.

The finale of Naoki Sat's score shifts into Super Saiyan mode. However, the way it begins and continues, even in significant hallmark situations, is at best a 2/5. hoped for a heart-pounding score.

The Final Word

Is this a treat for Dragon Ball fans after all? Yes, of course. But does it improve upon the 20 prior goodies in any way? Indeed and no. Yes, due to the change in visual perspective and humour, and no, because it keeps the show's key emotional component short.

3.5 stars!
